This year, Korea University is the host for this annual gathering, where world-leading scholars and higher education professionals from across Asia Pacific and the rest of the world come together to discuss “Advancing Generational Potential: Skills and Partnerships in the Asia Pacific.”

“Being a Strategic Partner of this summit is more than getting global recognition. It’s our way of ensuring that Indonesian higher education has a voice in shaping the future of global education. We believe that fostering collaboration across borders and disciplines is essential to create a wider sustainable impact for the global community,” stated Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., Rector of BINUS University.

To enhance and deepen our global engagement, we are also in the process of formalizing new cooperation agreements with several leading universities around the world. These include Baku State University (Azerbaijan), Chung Hua University (Taiwan), and Management and Science University (Malaysia), focusing on education, research, and talent development. This aligns with our long-term goal of becoming a world-class university. Additionally, the delegation had the opportunity to strengthen its collaboration with the Embassy of Indonesia in Seoul, which has been a key partner in achieving success in South Korea, one of the primary destinations for the university’s mobility program.

During the event, Prof. Firdaus Alamsjah, Ph.D., CREATES Director of BINUS Higher Education (BHE) Professional Services, will feature in the Spotlight Session: Partnerships, meanwhile Prof. Dr. Ir. Derwin Suhartono, S.Kom., MTI, Dean of School of Computer Science, will serve as a panelist in “AI, Knowledge, and the Future of Humanity: A Time of Transformation.”  By taking the stage with other international leaders in higher education as speakers in these strategic sessions, both professors are ready to share their expertise on talent development, socially impactful research, and the critical role of academia–industry collaboration in driving digital transformation.
