Jakarta, 26 September — Dr. Rini Setiowati, S.E., MBA., took the center stage at the Higher Education Partnership Conference (HEPCON) Indonesia 2025 to share some of the best practices on the “Lessons from Successful Global Partnership,” where participants from Indonesian universities and international partners gathered and discussed strategies for establishing effective global collaborations.

During her session, she stressed how BINUS University consistently expands its global collaboration, resulting in partnerships with more than 450 universities across 55 countries, 5,000 companies, and various government and social organizations worldwide.

“By leveraging these partnerships, we can implement impactful programs with an increasing focus on sustainability, including academic exchanges, student and faculty mobility, joint research, community engagement initiatives, and collaboration on global rankings. I believe the key to these successful partnerships is the trust that enables us to work together openly and achieve shared goals. With this strong foundation, we have strengthened our international visibility and academic reputation, reflected in our rise in the QS World University Rankings 2026 to 851–900 and THE Impact Rankings 2025 to 301–400,” explained Dr. Rini.

Complementing these global initiatives, we have also forged strong partnerships with national institutions across multiple sectors to empower human capital development, advance research-based innovation, and contribute to the nation’s sustainable growth and competitiveness.

“As our network of partners continues to expand, we face limitations in resources to maintain frequent engagement with all of them. Therefore, we actively participate in global forums such as HEPCON to reconnect, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities, while also welcoming joint visits and collaborations on our campus,” she added.

Lastly, we also look forward to joining hands with more partners that share the passion for co-creating initiatives that enrich learning, foster research, and inspire positive change across communities and borders.
