The DT | UX Summit 2025, hosted by BINUS University at our Alam Sutera campus in Indonesia, will focus on “Advancing Humanity-Centered Innovation (HCD+) in Indonesia and across Asia.” This event is a continuation of Singapore Polytechnic’s DT | UX initiative, which integrates Design Thinking (DT) and User Experience (UX) through its unique Humanity-Centred Design+ (HCD+) innovation framework. The summit aims to provide a structured national platform for knowledge exchange, showcase success stories, and align innovation with public policy and inclusive development goals in Indonesia.

A highlight of the summit will be the presence of Professor Donald Arthur “Don” Norman, often referred to as the “father” of User Experience (UX). Norman, renowned for his work on user-centered design and his influential book “The Design of Everyday Things,” will deliver a keynote presentation and participate in a fireside chat. The event also aims to bridge the awareness gap regarding the DT | UX Consortium and its strategic objectives within Indonesia’s innovation ecosystem.

Scheduled for Thursday, 27 November 2025, the summit will facilitate cross-sector dialogue on the role of HCD+ in addressing national and regional challenges, including digital transformation, social equity, and inclusive innovation. It will also showcase best practices in design thinking, user experience, and public-private collaboration, while strengthening partnerships among ASEAN and regional universities, industry leaders, and government institutions. Dr. Bima Arya, the Vice Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, is expected to deliver a keynote speech, offering the government’s perspective on strengthening innovation in policymaking and public service delivery.
