As part of the 2025 Project Initiative and support from BINUS Higher Education, the iBuddy Community Impact Summit will enhance the capacity of iBuddy (also known as “buddy” or “peer-mentor” programs), through the support of the Internationalization Office, in supporting incoming international students as they adjust to their new academic, cultural, and social environment.​

The Program will focus on benchmarking with other successful buddy programs and increase its involvement in community development projects through the iBuddy Community Impact Summit. This program offers a platform for enhancing these programs by focusing on benchmarking and community development by collaborating with leading Indonesian universities to help engage international students and strengthen partnerships.

From July 9 to 11, 2025, the program commenced with a benchmarking activity at our Alam Sutera and Anggrek campuses. BINUS University, along with four co-organizers—Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Islam Indonesia, Institut Pertanian Bogor, and Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya—engaged in a lively discussion to identify best practices for improving the quality of their buddy and impactful programs.

The best practices from the benchmarking activity will serve as a guiding force in the next community development program, which will take place in Yogyakarta, Bandung, and Bogor.
