Jakarta, 18 June 2026 – In the latest QS World University Rankings (WUR) 2027, BINUS University is ranked in the 901–950 band globally, reaffirming our long-standing position as Indonesia’s leading private university.

Rector Nelly emphasized that this recognition reflects the progress we continue to build through quality education, impactful research, international engagement, and closer connections with industry.

“Higher education is becoming increasingly dynamic, with universities around the world continuing to raise their standards. For us, this recognition is not the end point. We view this result as part of our ongoing journey to keep growing, adapting, and transforming so that we can create greater impact,” she said.

As higher education continues to respond to changing technologies, workforce expectations, and global challenges, the role of universities extends beyond the classroom. This broader contribution is reflected in the QS World University Rankings, which considers academic and employer reputation, research impact, student experience, international engagement, and sustainability.

For BINUS University, these areas provide a clear direction for continued progress. We will continue to strengthen research with wider relevance and visibility, create learning experiences that remain connected to industry needs, expand opportunities for international collaboration, and support graduates whose capabilities are recognized both in Indonesia and internationally.

Aligned with the BINUS 2035 Vision: “A World-class university fostering and empowering the society in building and serving the nation,” we will continue to strengthen our academic ecosystem through learning innovation, research development, industry engagement, and expanded global collaboration.

As we mark 45 years of BINUS University, we aim to build a stronger academic ecosystem that connects learning, research, industry, and global engagement. Designed to be more sustainable and responsive to future needs, this ecosystem creates space for our students, faculty members, researchers, alumni, and partners to learn, collaborate, and create impact together.
