Semarang, 13 September — Davin William Kusnadi (Davin) and Muhammad Rabby Illyas (Illyas), who major in the Metaverse, had the opportunity to apply their skills through an internship at the Language Center of Central Java Province (Balai Bahasa Provinsi Jawa Tengah) to produce a Javanese Language Course using Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies.

Partnerships like this are part of our commitment at BINUS University to ensure that we can reach our vision of fostering and empowering society in building the nation.

By developing apps such as Realitas Berimbuh Negara Poci, Tani Cilik, and Sapi Wedhos, we offer a user-friendly way to learn Javanese by integrating fairy tale and folklore storybooks. They are readily available for download on Google Play Store making it easily accessible for Android users that will help us reach more audiences and introduce our culture to the world. Still, it will also create a limitless opportunity for continuous development in the content and the application.

The joint effort of BINUS University and the Central Java Language Center has been essential for this technology’s success. Combining BINUS University’s technological expertise with the Language Center’s cultural preservation goals, the project improves learning and helps maintain the Javanese language for future generations.

The Ikatan Duta Bahasa Jawa Tengah and elementary students across Central Java have utilized this app to learn about language. The app has received excellent reviews for its interactivity and its ability to improve learning methods effectively.
