Teguh Dartanto currently holds the position of Dean at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Indonesia. Before becoming Dean, he served as Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs, as well as Chair of the Department of Economics and the Undergraduate Economics Program at the same faculty. During his tenure as Program Chair, he introduced a semi-liberal arts education approach aimed at preparing students to thrive in today’s rapidly changing world.

His expertise spans development economics, poverty alleviation, social protection, and health economics. His research has been widely published in esteemed journals such as The Lancet, Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies, Energy Policy, and others, highlighting his contributions to academic discourse.

Beyond academia, Teguh Dartanto plays significant roles in various organizations. He represents Indonesia on the Governing Board of the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), serves as Vice President of ABEST21, an international accreditation body, and acts as an Independent Commissioner of Bank Jago, a leading technology-driven bank in Indonesia. He is also a member of the Indonesian Young Academy of Sciences and was honored as a 2017 Eisenhower Fellow. His achievements include speaking at the 2022 Nobel Prize Dialogue in Singapore.

Dr. Dartanto earned his Ph.D. in international development from Nagoya University, Japan, in 2012, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing knowledge and leadership in his field.
