As an Associate Professor in the Graduate School of Management, Management and Science University, Selangor, Malaysia, Dr. Aza is responsible for providing lectures and supervision to her undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Her publications span numerous national and international journals, and she has authored several books on corporate governance, ESG, accounting theory, and financial behavior. She reviews for multiple SCOPUS-indexed journals, including Cogent Social Sciences and the Journal of Reviews on Global Economics. She has secured research funding through the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (Malaysia), along with other state and international grants. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Academy of Professors Malaysia (APM). She has also won gold and silver medals at international exhibitions for introducing a simple method for formulating and developing problem statements, ISi-PC-GO, which aids students, academics, and researchers.
